Our focus is providing superior long-term investment results and services to our clients and mutual fund shareholders. By continuously doing this, we encourage clients to continue to place their trust in us. We don’t employ big advertising campaigns to promote our products or services — instead, we rely on solid investment results and a talented Marketing and Sales organization to attract and retain clients. We take a customized approach to marketing and sales, building relationships for the long term.
What you’ll do
Marketing
- Develop strategies and tools, including sales campaigns, email marketing strategies and presentation materials.
- Contribute valuable data and analysis to the development of marketing strategies as part of our Marketing Research or Business Intelligence teams.
- Collaborate with Communications groups to ensure consistent and effective messaging.
Sales
- American Funds — Partner with the nation’s top financial advisers who offer American Funds to their clients through individual accounts or as part of 401(k) or other retirement plans. Educate, train and motivate financial advisers, plan sponsors and plan participants. In some roles, the work is done primarily through presentations and in-person meetings; in other cases, you’ll work mainly on the phone.
- Capital Group Institutional Investment Services — Work with institutional clients and consultants around the world who rely on the Capital Group’s investment services. Identify prospective clients including corporations, government entities, foundations and endowments. Provide existing clients with ongoing support. Build and maintain relationships with consultants who represent institutional organizations to increase their client referrals.
- Private Client Services — Meet the unique needs of high-net-worth individuals, their families and foundations by providing personalized service and access to the Capital Group’s investment management expertise. Establish relationships with and provide tailored investment solutions for these individuals and the intermediaries who represent them.
Successful candidates
Our Marketing and Sales teams are known for their high degree of integrity and for providing the right solutions for our customers. We seek candidates who are:
- Consultative in nature, with a demonstrated ability to modify a marketing or sales strategy to fit the client’s needs and to build strong relationships
- Driven to provide results by focusing on the outcomes, not simply the completion of tasks
- Excellent communicators, whether sharing information over the phone or making a presentation in person
- Intellectually curious, able to grasp complex information quickly and take the initiative to continually develop their knowledge. For some positions, previous industry experience is required.
