Our Legal and Compliance teams play critical roles, striving to adhere to applicable national and international laws and regulations. Due to their unique perspective, members of our Legal and Compliance teams are often involved in shaping organizational policies.

What you’ll do

Compliance

• Interface with various regulators, including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission
• Report ownership of portfolio holdings around the world
• File all sales material with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority
• Serve on various committees to develop industry-wide policies
• Interact with mutual fund boards to facilitate corporate governance
• Monitor portfolio compliance limits

Legal

• Prepare legal filings and documents
• Provide sound legal advice to business leaders
• Review contracts, marketing materials and other documents with legal implications
• Assist with negotiations as appropriate
• Minimize potential litigation and work to resolve existing litigation in ways that protect the interests of the Capital Group and its clients
• Work with outside counsel as necessary

Risk

• Help business leaders identify, evaluate and enhance their controls
• Increase business awareness of and visibility to key risks
• Develop risk mitigation strategies
• Ensure the continuation of global operations in the event of an unplanned business interruptions
